Last month our Orlando Wetlands Park & Merritt Island Workshop went extremely well. The weather all week was perfect as were the participants. It is always good seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Bird activity was high in Orlando Wetlands and pretty ok at Merritt Island. The new boardwalk makes it easy to get close to the main rookery areas. I am looking forward to our next workshop there in the future. Great location for sure.

July 16-19, we are running our Milky Way and Lighthouse Field Trip/Workshop. It will be on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We will also explore Alligator River looking for bear. Details will be on the website next week.

I have a new toy to test. The folks at FotoPro were nice enough to loan me the E-6H Eagle Gimbal. This smaller gimbal head has many pro features and, though smaller than other gimbals, can hold big equipment up to 22lb. I need a few months in the field to test this baby out. It will be reviewed in a future newsletter, so keep an eye out.

There are two places I do most of my business with; they have both helped, not only me, but our workshop folks. Give them a try, you will be happy with the products offered at reasonable prices and great customer service.
