March/April 2016 Newsletter
I hope everyone is having a great month. Time flies when we are photographing and traveling.
As some of you know I have been shooting the New Nikon D5. I Also have been putting a lot of time on my 200-500 AFS f/5.6. I have a Nikon D500 on its way so I will have a complete set of Nikon's newest.
I also sold a few old flashes and got a SP 5000 wireless flash. More on that later.
I will soon be adding two classes. The first is a Nikon D5/D500 Kick Start class. This will be a 1/2 day class on setting up and using the Nikon D5 and D500. We will talk about the WR-1 and WR-R10 transceivers for communicating with these cameras as well as the features of these two cameras.
The second 1/2 of the day will be a Nikon Creative Lighting and Wireless Class. We will
teach you the features of the SB 900, 910, 700 and the new SB 5000. We will also demonstrate how to blend these two technologies together. The two seminars will be $30.00 each or both for $50.00. Again, the WR-1 and WR-R10 transceivers will be covered.
Nikon Professional Services had mine shipped and I purchased them from Hunts Photo & Video. Gary Farber has done an excellent job supporting our workshop folks.
Ask for Alan Samiljan as he takes care of our workshop folks.

I am not reviewing these items yet. I want to get more time on them. However, my first impression is Nikon hit a home run.
Here are a few images over the past month from the D5.
North Carolina Zoo
Look how well this camera handles the light. Also, the image quality is the best I have shot. Yep, even better than my D800 at 36 megapixels. How can that be? More megapixels means bigger prints, not better image quality. This camera does a great job.
Sun & Fun Airshow, Lakeland, FL.
The Nikon D5 with a Nikon 200-500 AFS f/5.6 did a great job.
Just a Reminder, we have two workshops coming up. Summer in the Smokies,
we will take a max of 10 on this adventure. We will shoot landscapes, wildlife, star photography and more.
In November, Bill Fortney will join us for another great trip out west. Arches and Canyonlands will be a great workshop. You will have three instructors with Vinny Colucci, Annette Colucci and Bill Fortney. See the link below for further details.
We are headed to Memphis, TN, Monday for a week followed by our workshops in St. Augustine,FL. The Birding and Photo Fest always is full of great photography.
Until Next Month. Keep Shooting and Enjoy The Adventure.
